More about my architectural images

Painting architecture is a little more challenging than just capturing landscapes. Because unlike the mostly organic shapes in nature, there is a right or wrong in architecture, you have to look a lot closer so that the perspective doesn’t tilt. That’s why I didn’t dare to paint buildings until later. There are also usually more people around them.
It was only through the Urbansketchers that I dared to paint in the middle of the city. It’s a worldwide community of artists who have set themselves the task of capturing the whole world in drawings – and in turn sharing their work with the whole world. There are regional meetings – and luckily I got to know the Rhein-Main-Urbansketcher. They always get me out of my comfort zone – I have already painted with them in places where I would normally never have dared to paint. But now I even paint alone in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
