Hi, my name is Yo and I am an illustrator and plein air painter. Here I present a selection of my oil paintings that I have painted outdoors in recent years. As a counterbalance to my digital Illustrationen I sart wit pleinair painting “En plein air” is French and means “in the open air” – and that is precisely where the largest and most beautiful studio in the world is located! I really enjoy being outdoors without any briefings or deadlines, not having to think about anything, just painting what I see and taking in all the sensory impressions that surround me. I don’t just see my subject, I smell and hear it too∞ I am right in the middle of my subject.

I have numbered all the paintings since the first one. I paint about 100 paintings a year – so you can tell from the painting number when I painted it. On my blog you can see all (!) my paintings uncensored in chronological order.

To explain this even better, from time to time I also shoot videos of my painting process (especially Instagram-Reels).
